Based on Diagnostic Images, appart from creating three-dimensional images, the fact of having an impression of them (3D biomodels) is increasingly in demand from surgeons and radiologists. In fact, many hospitals are implementing 3D departments to meet these needs. The value of biomodels is planned in different fields, including the planning of complex surgeons, allowing the reduction of the time of the surgeon, increasing communication and understanding with the patient, etc.
The creation of biomodels requires new technical competencies, and we believe that some of these competencies should be hold by Diagnostic Imaging technicians. That is why, within the framework of this project, in addition to analysing and understanding the whole process, the aim is to transform the curriculum of the Diagnostic Image Technician, in order to improve the skills of these professionals and thus their rates of employment.
